The aim of our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) support within the Nurture Provision is to support the Social and Emotional development of children.  This takes place in a focused intervention group with one member of staff and with one child. It is acknowledged that by addressing the emotional wellbeing of a child it can help reduce barriers to learning in a non-challenging environment, enabling the children to access the curriculum more fully back in their classrooms.
