The Nurture Group has been introduced to the Mood Monster board which helps them identify how they are feeling at this the beginning of their lesson.  It has been a great success with helping children understand how different emotions feel, anything from happy or sad to worried or angry.  It also helps children to understand that all emotions are acceptable, but it is how we deal with these emotions that counts.  Children get the opportunity at different points in the lesson to change their mood monster if they feel they need to.
